Data is arranged by the Standard Industrial Classification system, and is aggregated at the Major Group (2 digit SIC) level. Includes variables sucha as number of employees, payroll, number of establishments, and establishments by size class.

Kids Count: Annie E. Casey Foundation
KIDS COUNT is a national and state-by-state effort to track the status of children in the U.S. Available is the 1998 KIDS COUNT data online which includes profiles, ranked lists, graphs and maps for the U.S. and its states. Also are links to state-level contacts involved in the KIDS COUNT program.
Regional Economic Information System (REIS)
This site includes economic data from 1969-1996 on several froms of personal income and earnings and full time and part time employment for all regions, states, metro areas and counties in the US.

United States Historical Census Data Browser
Various census data for each state and county from 1790 to 1970 is available. You can choose year and variables, state, county, graph a variable or view a table. Very good, easy to use site for historical census data.
